Busy Weekend for NYSSCA at Three Tracks
The New York State Stock Car Association was busy giving it back to the highest finishing members at three tracks this weekend.

It was hectic but the organization, led by volunteers, pulled it off without a hitch, awarding bonuses at Afton Speedway on Friday, Lebanon Valley Speedway on Saturday, and Devil's Bowl on Saturday.

The cool thing about Safety Award Night is that even if you don't win the race, you're still eligible for the contingency bonus. The $50, NYSSCA hat and yearbook are awarded to the member with the best finish in each feature.

At Afton Speedway, Tony Pepicelli took home the bonus in the Modifieds with his 2nd place finish. Jeff Leslie won the Sportsman feature and the bonus. Other bonus winners were Denny Smith in the Pro Stocks, Eugene Van Alstyne in the Pure Stocks, and Dave Finch in the four cylinders. Skip Pickwick won the wild card.

At Lebanon Valley Speedway, Eddie Marshall finished 2nd in the Modifieds, but was the first NYSSCA member. Ed Harkins' 4th place finish in the Sportsman was plenty to win him the bonus. Paul LaRochelle finished 2nd in the Pro Stocks and Nick Hilt, Jr. won the Limited Pro Stock Feature, each garnering an extra $50. In the Pure Stocks, it was Steve Kahler, Jr., David Stickles, Pete Wiegand and Chrissy Hilt winning the bonus in the four features. Rob Yetman won the wild card.

We wrapped it up at Devil's Bowl on Sunday. All but one of the feature winners was a member, making it easy on the track representatives. Ken Tremont, Jr. won the Modifieds. Lori Cary won the Pro Streets. Brette Osgood won the Four Cylinders and Mike Duclos won the Six Cylinders. In the Limited division, Bill Duprey finished second, but took home the bonus.

Congratulations to all these members and thank you for your continued support of the New York State Stock Car Association.
