AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM PROGRAM AIMED AT KIDS AND NEW RACING FANS
|
The focus of the Saratoga Automobile Museum's monthly lecture series will shift to auto racing on Saturday March 10th. Race Cars for Kids and New Fans, set for 2 pm, will offer a look at the multitude of racing classes offered both locally and nationally.
Short track racing, road racing, go-karts, Indy cars and NASCAR's new Car of Tomorrow will be among the topics discussed, with the emphasis on the difference between the various types of racing and what to look for when watching a race. Presenters will include Lime Rock Park statistician Craig Robertson and National Speed Sport News columnist Ron Hedger.
Kids will also be allowed to sit in a midget racer in the Racing in New York gallery to get a feel for what a driver sees from the cockpit.
No advance registration is required. Directions and other information about the automobile museum can be obtained electronically at www.saratogaautomuseum.org. |
