In other NYSSCA news, there are currently almost 650 members enrolled.  Members should look in their next newsletter, in late August, for a ballot requesting their input on who is eligible to receive track achievement awards from the Stock Car Association.  Members will be asked if they feel that only fellow members should be eligible to receive these awards, or if they should be open to any member of the racing community.

Currently, anyone is eligible to receive the awards and any change will be effective next racing season for awards presented in January 2004. Ballots need to be returned by Sept. 24th, which is the night of our next meeting.  The Sept. 24th meeting will be held at Denny's Restaurant off Route 146 in Clifton Park at 7pm.  All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
