PIT CREW
CHALLENGE
The 1st Annual NYSSCA Pit Crew
Challenge Grand Prize was won by the Condor Pontiac/GMC Team. John Russo,
Dave Vasko, Gary Resue, Curt Spoonagle, and Dan Nadeau split the $999.00
sponsored by Capital News 9.
The Time Warner Cable team of Jim Monroe,
Jr., John Czmyr, Mike Tholin, Chris Busta and Jamie Walsh finished second,
earning themselves $299.00.
Third place went to the Sheely Racing Team of
Jeff Sheely, Doug Sheely, Jeff Smith, Chuck Spetla and Ricky Viall. They
were awarded $199.00.
The Cottrell Racing Team, comprised of Darren
Costanzo, Gerald Curtis, Josh Cottrell, Jesse Oliver and Mike Rhodes
finished 4th and received Pyrotech crew shirts donated by Pro
Circuit Motorsports and Restoration of Ballston Spa.
Finishing 5th was the Carlton Coon
Heating Team of Jonathan Coon, Eric Sbrega, Joe Marqoux, Ed Young and
Carlton Coon. They each won a Bobco Video of the event.
Thanks to all those who helped in the event.
A special thanks goes to The Richards Family and the staff of the CVRA for
their hospitality and generosity during the event. Bruce Richards brought
the idea to the organization, then provided the location for the event,
helped to publicize it and donated passes to sponsors on different levels of
donation in order to entice more fundraising.
