                   $999.00 TOP PRIZE IN NYSSCA PIT CREW CHALLENGE

MALTA, NY - The New York State Stock Car Association is holding it's 1st Annual Pit Crew Challenge at Albany Saratoga Speedway and giving away some serious cash. 

Five person teams will attempt to qualify through preliminary competitions beginning on Friday, May 30 and continuing on each Friday in the month of June.  The fastest time from each Friday event will proceed to the Championship on July 1st at the speedway.

The format for the qualifying round is a two tire change (front & rear) and will be held on "the green" at Albany Saratoga Speedway.  The final event will be a "hot pit stop" on the frontstretch with crews coming over the wall to service the car.

First prize in the Championship round is $999.00 for the winning team and is sponsored by Capital News 9.  The second place team will receive $299.00 and third place wins $199.00.  Prizes will be awarded to the fastest team from each week.

Sponsors for the event are Capital News 9, GMC Trucks, Ranch Trailer Sales, Pro Circuit Autosports and Restoration, Malta Diner, Jumpin Jacks Pro Speed, Snap On Tools, and Media Well Done.

All proceeds from the event will further the programs of NYSSCA including the Benefit Fund, Safety Award Nights, and Hall of Fame.
