Dear Officers and Board of Directors,

Thank you very much for your get well card and benefit check. Your thoughts during my time of recovery reaffirm why people in racing are some of the finest you will ever meet. As you point out, I had not submitted my membership for the year on time and wouldn't be eligible for any NYSSCA benefit because of it. Regardless, you saw fit to help anyway and I thank you very much.

I am very fortunate that from a medical coverage and financial perspective I am better off than most. Over the past years when I have seen the NYSSCA representatives at the track, I have always joined and will do so again. Enclosed please find my membership application and check for this year's membership. Unfortunately, I don't have a racecar to put the stickers on, but one thing at a time!

I have a strong belief and feeling for what your organization does and means to the racing community. I applaud your efforts and will continue to support you. It is because of my good fortune outside of the racing community that I can return your benefit check so that it can be used for someone that will most certainly need it more than I.

Again, thank you for your thoughts and I hope to see you at the races!
